The Humanities department of Charles Jow Memorial Academy, embarked on an international educational trip to Dakar, Senegal from December 27th 2024 to January 2nd 2025. A total of 110 students from the Arts, Sciences and Commerce departments and 10 Teachers went on the trip. This trip was organised to give students first hand information on subject related matters that were taught in class. Series of Geographical and Historical sites were visited and key among them were Goree island and the inspirational Monument of freedom in Dakar. The infrastructural development of the city was also an eye-catching moment for the trip. It was indeed a very educational and equally fun some of both the teachers and students who are travelling for the very first time beyond the boarders of the Gambia and in particular to a city of such as Dakar full with life and ambiance.
